Boat trips, diving tours, climbing, paragliding, simple beach “whaling” at the nearest beach with a book and a towel or even for the tracking route through the jungle.. it is ALWAYS nice to have an idea of what to expect!!
Of course there are the main weather forecast for Koh Phangan such as rain in October November and Sun in April. During the high season from December to March the weather getting hotter but still rainy sometimes. End of March and April are very hot and with Songkran in mid April The big water festival, the water is welcomed back from the sky.
Low season which is low on tourists but rich on sun.. and beside the small monsoon season in June the weather is very dry as well. Slowly the Rain is building up until its burst out in October-November. Sometimes with very dry endings to the Sunny-season around September.
Then next rain period will come .. Revive the waterfalls and the small rivers, give life to the flowers and the trees and make the whole jungle grow into a green mess of entangled beauty.
Fruits and vegetables will grow faster and bigger, flowers will smell more and attract more bees. The jungle will sound like a sweet buzz with amazing amounts of creations all making each their sound, move, families, job and home.
Birds with incredible voices will pop up singing their tunes or making their freaky Digital Beeps or just sit there telling a story from times before when it all was jungle.
That’s my version of why they call it HIGH season.. not because its full of tourists or good for business ... It’s because its natures HIGH .. Its flowering, blossoming, growing, creating, smelling and living.. High Season is natures high !!
