Is there an age you reach when you are too old to be a backpacker?
When you think of the word ‘backpacker’ it does conjure up images of younger people, bags on their backs, choosing the road less trodden and sleeping in bunk beds.
Nowadays though, people of all ages sleep in hostels, older backpackers may still prefer this type of accommodation and could have consciously chosen to never make the transition to a hotel or resort.
However, no one has ever said that backpacking means you HAVE to sleep in a hostel… you can still do the backpacking thing but opt to stay in slightly more comfortable accommodation yet still within a reasonable backpacker budget.
