We are right into the so-called Low Season here on Koh Phangan Island but so far there has still been lots happening!
In fact, June through to July and August bring a small mini High Season as European Countries enjoy their Summer Holidays and so students, families and travellers have time off to visit their chosen holiday destinations such as Thailand!
The weather on Koh Phangan is still hot and humid, in fact this year we have seen some big temperatures earlier than usual so maybe it will cool off a little? Visitors are guaranteed beautiful weather at this time of year anyway.
As with every month on Koh Phangan we have the famous Full Moon Party! June’s Party is on Monday the 17th and as well as the main party on Haad Rin beach you can in fact enjoy a whole week of amazing parties that run alongside the Full Moon.
Waterfall Party with happen on June 15th 2019
Waterfall Party is an open air music event is hidden deep in the Baan Kai jungle, amongst cascading waterfalls, stunning rock formations and lush wildlife. Venture inside and find yourself on one of the island's largest dance floors complete with mystical luminous decorations, fire and acrobat performers, and a hand-picked lineup of top-notch, international Dj's, showcasing the very best in Techno, House and EDM on the planet. Doors always open at 8pm and the party doesn't stop until you do!
Jungle Experience is June 16th 2019
Deep in the Koh Phangan jungle, an astonishingly magical Party Wonderland awaits you! Jungle Experience is an Underground Festival of Sound and Light, where the best DJs on the planet go Wild in the Jungle!!
Outside of the Full Moon Week you also have regular parties happening so you can always enjoy what the island is famous for! Half Moon happens twice a month and you also have Shiva Moon, Blackmoon and smaller events like Hollystone and Loi Lay every Sunday!
If you are not coming to party, then June still is active for things such as Yoga classes and retreats, Kite Surfing and other water-sports.
Koh Phangan in general is a beautiful island to discover. Enjoy treks to the highest point Khao Ra, Waterfall visits, Saturday Walking Street Market and Pantip food court as well as many restaurants.
You are also close to the natural wonder of Angthong Marine Park, take a boat trip to discover this beautiful place or take a boat trip around the island of Phangan or discover scuba dive site of Sail Rock!
As things pick up during these months for summer vacation tourists you can enjoy a bustling island of people yet it never being over crowded like High Season. Meet other travelers, backpackers, friends and family or do your own thing!
