Sramanora Waterfall located at the south side of Koh Phangan in Ban Kai village, between Haad Rin and Ban Tai.
The waterfall is 5 minutes drive from the main beach road.
During the rainy season between November and March, after few days of heavy rain the waterfall is in it's pick. The stream of the river is strong and the water is gushing.
The road to the waterfall goes from the main road into the jungle and it is possible to drive all the way till the waterfall and natural pools, BUT, If you enjoy having a walk in a beautiful jungle road, it is recommended to stop the bike at the parking lot down the river and walk about 500 to the waterfall location.
At the Reservation there a few beautiful spot to enjoy the fresh water and to chill out. There is the big pool at the entrance on the right where the water flowing from the mountain. The other pool located up the hill on the right. To get there you need to cross the river and drive / walk up and left.
Up at the hill the is a cozy spot with a smaller river flowing to it, chill-out shaded spot, a beautiful view over the valley and a Thai Western restaurant managed by the Family that owns of land.
Two times during a month, 2 days before and 2 days after the Fullmoon party a wild party take place at the waterfall area. Party starts at 8pm and continue during the all night till 8 in the morning. The music played is electronic and moves between Deep House, Tech House and Trance genres during the night.
Sramanora waterfall is recommended for a visit during the all year and especially on a sunny day after a few rainy ones.
