Are you on vacation or do you live in Koh Phangan? For how long? How did you come to know about the island?I was on the island for a total of three weeks in December. I had been planning to visit ever since my best friend Lance, "aka" DJ Inlighten, moved there.
What are your thoughts on Koh Phangan? Has your experience been inspiring in any way? How so?
Koh Phangan was definitely my favorite destination in Thailand. It's unlike all the rest of the country. It’s not commercialized, but there’s always a party with great music going on, just like I’m used to back home.
When, where, and how did you meet the Alien Sistars? Did you contact them, or did they contact you to be alienized?I first knew of Queen Luana through our mutual friend Jamie in South Florida. She told me: “My girl Luana’s an artist too! She’s doin’ it big in Thailand...you HAVE to meet up with her!”. So I looked up the sisters’ work and I was so amazed! From that moment on I made it my mission to be painted at some point during my stay.
When and where did you get transformed into an alien? What is your opinion of the location? Would you return?I was painted for New Years' Countdown Party and we meandered all over
Haad Rin Beach like living, breathing, walking, art. It was NUTS! I’ve never seen so many people in one place. Everybody loved our transformations.
In the Sistars interview, they explain that when body painting they are transferring positive alien data into the skin of human beings. Did you feel any symptoms from their data transfer? If so, what are they? Everybody was going crazy for our outfits, wanting pictures and asking who we were. I really embodied an alien from another galaxy - we looked like NOBODY else on the island! No doubt, the data transfer spoke positively for itself and read loud and clear to anybody who was in our presence.
Did the alien transformation have any effect on your natural human behavior? If yes, how so?As the night went on and I felt the overwhelmingly positive reaction to my outer transformation I can truly say that I felt like I came into my own and had a glimpse of my destiny. Since my experience that night I continually try to incorporate alien-esque aspects into the way I carry myself or how I express myself, a bearing that would make a positive, praise-worthy impact. I feel like the sisters transformed my soul...and they’ll forever hold a special place in my heart for that.
Did your new alien super powers make you feel differently than you normally would have without them? What effects did they have on those around you as you were walking through the crowd?
As wasted as people were, they went out of their way to tell us how amazing we looked and to praise the girls for their work. Speaking for myself, even as the alien muse, I’m SO inspired by them! Luana is truly a through-and-through stylist, from body paint design to costumes and accessories - which the sisters themselves make from anything and EVERYTHING!! Their work deserves a multiple spread editorial in a high-fashion magazine, which I would happily model for! It’s that incredible.
What were the human’s reactions to your new alien appearance? Did you inspire anyone?
The crowd was completely taken aback by us. I don’t think they thought we were real people until we spoke and took pictures with them, haha!
Was your experience memorable or special in any way? How so?
This experience was one of the most memorable experiences of my whole life. I connected with the Alien Sisters as we lived out our dreams and fantasies on New Years, and it was SO awesome to work with Phanganist conducting the beach interviews...I graduate in May, hold a job for me please!
Would you be willing to have them transform you into an alien again? Has the experience inspired you in any way? How so?
YES!!!!!!!!! And more naked next time! The alien experience has encouraged me to embellish, embrace and share my art and my existence as much as – humanly – possible, because you can create happiness here on Earth by just being yourself to the fullest. :)
