Every year Nakadia's career goes more up, but last year was the biggest step so far. She became a part of ANTS – voted the best party of Ibiza and played there in front of 8000 people a few times last summer. That was the biggest highlight. However, she also played at so many other great events around the world last year. During the past few months she tried to spend more time in the studio and came up with some good tracks. They will released month after month from January onward. Therefore, it looks like 2015 will be even more exciting.
Where on KP did you play so far?
I moved to Koh Samui in 2003 and I believe my first performance on Koh Phangan was in 2008. It was at Ki Mao bar in Ban Thai. In that time the island was nearly all Goa-Trance and when I played Techno it seemed like people where waiting for it. I returned often to Ki Mao and the parties where good. Over the years I played many venues on the island – too many to mention all. Unfortunately, my Koh Phangan story always ends the morning after the party on the ferryboat. I would like to stay longer one day, but too many flights to catch and always on the run.
What you think make Koh Phangan special?
Koh Phagan is the destination for many “cool” clubbing people from Europe. They love Phangan (although they hate the Fullmoon party) – and many of them come back every year. These people understand music and follow the artists that play the right sound. Koh Phangan is not so commercial yet and still has the “hippy-touch”. This gives a perfect atmosphere on the island.
What music will you bring to the Four Elements festival?
I have to feel the situation at the event, than I choose my music. However, I am always somewhere between deep house, tech house and techno. I like to play long sets and tell a story with my music. Move the emotions up and down. That’s what my sets are about, to take the dancefloor on a rollercoaster ride. However, it only works with long sets. The shorter the set, the less I can do. It takes 20-30 minutes to set the mood…. Then you take the people where you want to have them… and then you already have to get ready for the landing
How long will you stay this time and plans to do while on Koh Phangan
As always, I will only have the time for 1 night and catch the boat to Samui in the morning. That’s my life. Sometimes I fly around the world, like 40 hours to Argentina. Stay 1 night and back again.
Plans for this year
It looks like 2015 will be the biggest step in my life. So many huge projects are starting now. The first highlight will be 7 February on Koh Samui, hosting Sven Väth at Cha Cha Moon. We have been planning this for 3 years and now finally it is going to happen. People who like to join this event should get the tickets soon. People are flying in from all around the world to be part of this event. I am very much looking forward to this day. Then there will be the summer on Ibiza, playing for Ants, but this summer I will also join some other major events. The schedule for 2015 is filling up very quickly and I am excited about the New Year.
