Enis Ulucay aka Graf Olaf, born and raised in Switzerland, came into contact with electronic music at the early age of 15. Back in the 90's, when the dance music scene was dominated by trance, he visited his first rave. As soon as he heard and saw the DJ spinning on the turntables he immediately knew that this will always be a part of his life.
The very same year he bought his first mixer and started experimenting with electronic sounds. With little budget to afford turntables, he started mixing from a Disc-man on the one side and his home stereo on the other. He soon came to realize, that it wasn't that easy to synchronize two tracks with different beats. Luckily, two CDs by Swiss DJ Energy, part of his collection, had matching BPMs so for months on end those two compilations made up his repertoire.
With his brand new Technics turntables and his new found LOVE for Vinyl and house music, the "GRAF" started to organize some legendary private parties in the area of Zurich. He soon realized that music is constantly evolving, and embraced the many styles of electronic dance music moving from Progressive to Minimal and Tech-House. Important to him has always been to keep an open mind when it comes to different genres, in the ever changing electronic dance music landscape.
His music reflects the different ethnic and cultural backgrounds and includes oriental as well as latin rhythms, with a strong influence of Jazz and "the Blues". His unique style of DJ'ing puts emphasis on funky grooves with rolling beats, deep baselines, with colorful melodies and mesmerizing harmonies, that help create an underground ambience.
During the last couple of years, Graf Olaf has become a permanent fixture at some of the best underground dance clubs in Zurich. With now over 16 years of DJ'ing experience he knows well what is needed to get a party started and engage the crowds. Internationally, you can catch Graf Olaf, during the winter season on Koh Phangan, Thailand and island famous for its parties and underground clubs. He often plays at Merkaba Beach Club one of the hottest party locations on the island.
