George Kyriakou is feeling extremely well and full of happy feelings!

In 2012 he was happy to perform at their brand new beautiful floating bar.
In the end of 1999 George Kyriakou returned to Greece after having successfully completed his studies in International Relations at the East London University and in Communications & Audio Visual Productions at the London Guildhall University.

His first visit to Phangan was back in 2005.
He says about it;
A very first visit is always kind of a big surprise. I just fall in love with this island straight away.. Since then I am visiting Koh phangan once a year for my annual break.
It is a prefect place for me to hide, relax think, feel and get organized ..
He met Lek and Amanda, the owners of two venues here, Loi Lay and Maya, around years ago at Fisherman’s Restaurant.

In 2012 he was happy to perform at their brand new beautiful floating bar Loi Lay.
This year he was performing in the nearly as brand new Maya Party in the jungle.
In his last interview he said about a fellow Dj;
"David Chong is such a great DJ..
I didn’t have the chance to talk to him yet but I was lucky enough to follow two of his Saturday sets and I really enjoyed his long set to the max!"
Phanganist hopes that he had a good Maya party when he was there on the 13th of August to play in a Line up with ... David Chong )):
Our last interview was back in 2012 so many things must have happened since then. Can you tell us a little bit about what?
Yes indeed .. Lots of things happened since my last visit to Koh Phangan back to 2012 .
Europe and especially my country Greece faced the heavy economic crisis. We all needed to relocate ourselves and get used to the new way of life. Unfortunately on September 2012 I decided to quit my position as label manager and a&r of a beloved label which I served for the last 10 years. It was not easy but it was a chance for me to stay away from the music business for a while and explore myself..
Since then I spend most of the time working for my daily radio show on Join radio and spreading music in clubs all over Greece.
What are you currently involved with?
I plan to stay on Koh Phangan till the end of September. Then I need to get back home and work on a new project which I am setting up with a good friend mainly focusing on new business promotion solutions. I am also hosting two radio shows for home89.1 and Join radio and I am in discussions with some good friends for monthly residencies.
You were playing with Miguel Martoz at the Sunset Pearl the other day. This is a sunset venue and different from a night party. How do you like that?
Unfortunately we didn’t make it due to island reasons but it looks like it will happen soon. Sunset pearl is a beautiful place with lots of positive energy and two great hosts. I hope I will make it with Miguel before getting back home …
Where will we find you playing the next months?
All over Greece and hopefully Russia
When did you return to Phangan?
I returned to Koh Phangan this July and I plan to stay until the end of September. Koh Phangan it’s a unique place and this time it changed me lots. Living on a beach for three months and focusing on yourself and your dreams is not happening often. I think I got my life lessons regarding my past way of thinking and I am excited to say that I now feel extremely well and full of happy feelings! It is a small paradise it’s a blessed place …
What gigs you had here so far?
I played Loi Lay and I also joined Maya twice. I love Maya it’s a unique place always promoting quality house music. I also played a few nights on Great Bay Resort. They really love my music and I am thankful to them for their support !
And Cha Cha Moon of course on Samui. A wonderful place managed by forward thinking and professional people. It was more than a pleasure to meet people like the Cha Cha Moon Owner, Dede thanx to my friend Darragh Casey
What is your favourite beach on the island?
