Dj Andrey Popescu - A music philosopher on Phangan

Andrey popescu, a music philosopher ★

Andrey Popescu, DJ Popescu, an upcoming name on the Phangan DJ Scene.
 

The first time Andrey Popescu came to Koh Phangan was in December 2011.
This was on his first trip to Asia.


He very quickly realized that this was a place he wanted to return to every year!
“Many of my friends come here and I met so many new sweet friends here” he says about it.
 

Andrey has now been coming here for a while and has made parties in places such as the Lake Hut, The Place and SeaGarden.


He also had good fun Dj’ing at the places where he lived or hanged out such as Hansa resort, Air Lounge, Mangos and many private places.
“I always leave with a very good impression of the party no matter where it has been!” he says about the parties!

Dj Popescu just returned this November for more Phangan Experience!

Saturday Night November 7 Dj Popescue will be behind the decks on the enchanted mini beach in Ban Khai.

About the music he choose to play here compared to back home, he say that what he plays here, are the music that he finds relevant for this Island.
Phanganist bet it MUST be different from the music he choose to play back home then!

The best thing he did this year was celebrating New Year with good friends.

He decided to take a break from the organizing of the parties and has now plans to live from the results of the projects METRANOMM that he is currently working on.

His inspiration he gets from having fun with friends.

After a good session with friends ideas will just come flushing to me.
“Then I will sit down and try to accumulate these feelings and ideas into music.

His favourite genres these days are Lounge, Funk, Soul.

He does not believe in too making too many future plans.

For this he recite a very wise saying from Russia:
“If you want God to Laugh, tell him about your plans”
Excellent expression. Right On!
