Christ Burstein, from Buenos Aires, Argentina, has been a Producer & DJ for the past 8 years. He says he started playing for fun, as almost everybody does, here and there at private events and friends' parties.
The turning point in his musical career came about because of his longing to do something. He learned how to produce electronic music of his own, and within a couple of years he achieved the sound he was proud of. So, all in all, the whole learning process (including those life experiences that redirected his focus towards mastering sound) was... "it was a cool journey".
Burstein started planning his first Asia tour two years ago. After his gigs in Bangkok at places like Glow, Muse hotel, Oskar, Dream, to name a few (where he came to know about Koh Phangan being a real paradise) he knew that he had to visit the island.

When he arrived for the first time last September… He tells us, "I just, went crazy! The night scene, the landscape, the view, and the Thai curry, really truly amazing!". During that trip he didn't play anywhere, he came just to get to know the island. The following 10 months he spends touring around other parts of Asia like India, Singapore, Indonesia, of course, saving the best for last (to round up the tour in the proper way) on this lovely paradise island! He had been offered amazing gigs during his first visit to Phangan (thanks to some great people he met during his first trip) at the Halfmoon Festival, Backyard, Secret Garden, and Pirates Bar.

He wants to give a Special thanks to Jao Pattanasiri, Dave King, Phillip Kawee, Andy Newman, Venus Vibes, Martin Dreier, and Boyonic...the ones that helped make it happen!
For the past seven years Burstein has been traveling all over the world (playing in places throughout Europe, Latin America, and Asia) while Dj'ing and producing his music; and in just the last couple years, he's released over 150 tracks! He's happy for being fortunate enough to have huge artists like Richie Hawtin, James Zabiela, Marco Carola, and Luciano (among others) currently playing, charting, and supporting his music.
In the words of Christ, "I couldn't believe the amazing vibes that the island has...it's like a bubble in the world!"

His sounds individuality stems from the fact that he does not follow any one type of music or go by what others think he should play. He just produces what feels in the moment. Also, he doesn't close himself off to a specific genre...so one track could be deep, while another one techno, and so goes.
On Koh Phangan Burstein loves to swim at Haad Rin Beach and go to his favorite sunset spot, Secret Beach in Haad Salad, where in his opinion "they have the best sunsets!"

He feels he can bring a fresh sound to the island's party scene. He is not the kind of DJ that'll play the same sound set after set, and he plays a lot of his own tracks, originals, during his sets. He tells us, "maybe you'll like it, maybe you won’t… but it's definitely not going to be the same as everybody else and (the most important thing) I do not have any “ego” to feed. My aim is always to behave as humbly as I possibly can."
About his future plans on Koh Phangan...
In April 2015 he'll be back on the island after one month in Argentina (for some gigs) and his European tour (8 countries, gigs in cities like Tresor Berlin), then Dubai, followed by the high season in India.

How he got to where he is today...
In his words, "lots of paddling (meaning, TONS of effort) and being consistent. Do NOT feel bad when things aren't working out well. There are no secrets or magic about this...there is only effort mixed with a bit of creativity!"
So do good work, don't give up, and have fun with whatever it is you are passionate about!
